CLT-XL-at-SilverstoneThe 16m by 14m Prolyte CLT XL has been in action at the Silverstone Classics event over the weekend.

Despite the wind and rain, thousands of people still enjoyed the evening entertainment, with big name acts including Floyd Reloaded, Boot Led Zeppelin, The Hollies, The Guns N Roses Experience and The Ultimate Eagles. IPS supplied the Prolyte CLT XL Roof structure, which supported a large range of lighting and LED screen equipment, designed, specified and supplied by Colour Sound Experiment. IPS also supplied 30m of LiteBarrier Pit Barrier to protect the Front of Stage areas.

CLT-XL-at-Silverstone-02The Prolyte CLT XL is currently the largest structure in the IPS portfolio, and was supplied built on a Layher substructure which was located on a hard standing area of the race track. As ground anchors could not be used, concrete ballast blocks were used to secure the structure, taking the total transport requirement to thee articulated trucks worth of equipment. Constructed from Prolyte S40T and S52SV truss, the structure can support a total load of ten tons of equipment within the main roof, plus an additional two tons per PA wing is ideal for big shows, or large touring productions. Jubilee-Gardens-BandstandAt the other end of the scale, IPS has also been supplying lots of Bandstand Structures, which have proved very popular this year- especially in London! We stock 6.7m Litestructures Bandstands, and also have developed a 10m Bandstand XL with Prolyte for when a little more space is needed. The 6.7m Bandstand is available with either Red/Yellow covers or a Blue/Green version, and can be built in almost any location. It can be supplied with a LiteDeck platform which depending on ground conditions can be up to 4’ high, and the structure can either be secured using ground anchors, or with surface water or concrete ballast blocks. As well as many parks and outdoor locations all over the UK, some of the more peculiar build locations include the Courtyard at The Brewery, London, inside ExCel’s exhibition halls, and also inside the Jaguar Hall at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. It is a very versatile structure, and the LiteDeck platform can easily be extended to suit the event requirements.

IPS has a range of Roof Structures, and there is still some availability for the rest of the 2013 season- and we are also taking bookings for 2014, so please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your next event.
