IPS has had a busy start to 2014. Lots of equipment hires, along with a Film Premiere, Awards Show, and much more!
After a busy end to 2013, IPS have also been working hard over Christmas, with a staging team on tour supplying Stage platforms via SFL (who supplied Sound & Projection) for the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra in Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham for the popular production of Disney’s Fantasia. The well attended show followed on from a series of performances at the Royal Albert Hall in London. 
Meanwhile, a truck full of other staging equipment was heading up to Inverness for the New Year’s Eve celebrations. IPS supplied production company Limelights with a Prolyte 12m x 10m MPT Outdoor Stage with a Layher stage platform for the night, which hosted acts including the Red Hot Chilli Pipers- and event to on the front page of the local paper, the Inverness Courier.
Following the break, the IPS offices and warehouse are back in action, and over the last few days we have been involved with the production of an awards show for a corporate client in a prestigious London hotel, supplying Set, Lighting, Sound and Video equipment, as well as working with Limited Edition Event Design to supply rigging and lighting for the London premiere of The Wolf of Wall Street in Leicester Square. Alongside these production jobs, we have also sent out and returned large quantities of dry hire equipment, and are currently working on pre-production for another awards show later this week.
Equipment wise, IPS have also taken delivery of a pallet load of new Socapex power distribution, which offers a flexible way to distribute hot power, with RCBO protection for each of the 18 ways of outlet. Also, the IPS Sound Packages have been revamped for 2014, initially with a range of six systems. Suitable for various applications, and audiences of between 40 and 4000 people, the systems incorporate equipment from leading manufacturers Martin Audio, d&b audiotechnik and L’Acoustics – full details to follow soon.
