Clay-Paky-B-EYE-01IPS now has the latest LED fixture from Clay Paky in hire stock, the K20 B-Eye.

The Clay Paky A.leda B-EYE K20 is a high output RGBW moving head wash fixture that also boasts beam effect options, and with the B-EYE lens system, opens up a whole new range of spectacular graphic effects.

37 x Osram Ostar 15w high output RGBW LEDs mean this fixture packs a serious punch in terms of output, and is easy on the power supply, drawing less than 1000 watts. The fixture has the build quality you would expect from Clay Paky, and has an easy to use menu structure. Power is supplied via the PowerCon input connector, and DMX is on and out on both 3pin and 5pin connectors on the K20 B-Eye model. The fixture weighs in at 21kg per unit, and IPS units will typically be cased in pairs.

Clay-Paky-B-EYE-02---VortexThe K20 has an impressive zoom range of 4° to 60° with an even light spread, and a beam edge softening control for a Fresnel effect. Clay Paky say that the B-EYE is brighter than any LED-wash with the same rated power, thanks to its special optical unit with a truly amazing lumen/watt ratio. The LED source will sit nicely with a wide range of tungsten or discharge fixtures, with CT Emulation modes able to match colour temperatures from 2500 to 8000k.

When the B-EYE beam is zoomed down to 4°, the "wash" light turns into a "beam" fixture. The B-EYE therefore becomes a surprising mid-air parallel effect light, capable of generating a pulsating beam of micro-rays, which may be controlled individually, each with its own colors and shades. All the parameters of each LED can be completely controlled.

Clay-Paky-B-EYE-02---KaleidoscopeLastly, the B-EYE K20 introduces a completely new feature: the front lens may be rotated to create lots of small bright compositions, which may be opened and closed like petals. In effects mode, the B-EYE generates never-seen-before graphic light effects. The rotating front lens creates vortex beam effects with a bit of haze, or even in the scenarios where haze or smoke effects can’t be used, kaleidoscopic gobo style effects can also be produced.

The B-EYE K20 is a very versatile fixture that has already had a lot of interest, and sits alongside the Sharpy and Sharpy Wash within the IPS range from Clay Paky – soon to be joined by profile fixture over the next few months. Please check out our dry hire pages for current rental rates of these fixtures. Also in stock are the ever popular Martin MAC 101 and Martin MAC Aura LED wash fixtures – and control options from Avolites and Chamsys.

W-DMX

Another addition in the lighting department is an increase in the stocks of the Wireless Solutions BlackBox F-1 G4 MK2, which is as the name suggests a Wireless DMX transceiver. It can be configured to be either a transmitter or receiver, and offers dual band 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz modes for maximum versatility. When running a cable isn’t an option, these units can be deployed almost anywhere, and are compatible with our GDS uplighters which have built in receivers, or the W-DMX boxes can be used in pairs to add a wireless option to almost any DMX control system.

As with all our lighting products – if you have any questions, or would like a demo please get in touch and we will arrange something. Also, watch this space for another Clay Paky product announcement over the next couple of months.
